It's all about what we do with it...

Who doesn't love a good sale? Doesn't it feel good to find just the purse you've been wanting for a terrific price? That's only the beginning. When you take home a purse from the Gently Used Purse Sale, you can be assured that all of what you paid goes back into our community, helping out women and children in need. Here are some of the great causes we support:

The Backpack Program at
James Lane Allen Elementary School

At James Lane Allen School, over 80% of students qualify for free and reduced lunch programs. These kids get help during the school week, but what about weekends? When we heard they were struggling to get enough to eat on Saturdays and Sundays we knew we had to help. With funding assistance from the Gently Used Purse Sale, 101 children take home a backpack of food to their families each week so they can return to school Monday ready to learn.  

One Parent Scholar House

​One Parent Scholar House is a program for single parents who are full-time students in a post-secondary educational institution. The primary purpose of the program is to help parents and their young children develop the educational and family life skills needed to achieve self-sufficiency. 
 

St. Agnes House

​

A mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Lexington, St. Agnes House provides shelter and hospitality for out-of-towners receiving out-patient treatment from Lexington hospitals at a bare-minimum cost. We all know how expensive health care is. St. Agnes House is a lifeline for our Kentucky neighbors without resources to pay for lodging in addition to mounting medical bills.
